Comments on the questions either ask for further clarification, or express opinions about the question. For example, if you found the question insulting, a comment on the question is the right place to express that. Comments on an answer express an opinion about that answer.
What is a response answer?
5 Answers. 5. 14. Anytime a person returns communication it can be called a response or a reply, while an answer is a form of response which is a solution to a problem or question. So response and reply are generic and can be used in any situation, while answer is more specific in its usage.
How do you comment on a question?
If you want to comment on a question, click “Comment” which you can see under the question, type your comment in the comment space, and click “Submit”. If you want to comment on an answer, click “Comment” which you can see under the answer, type your comment in the comment space, and click “Submit”.
Is reply and comment the same?
The difference between a reply and a comment is that a reply is a post with its own permalink, shown on its own permalink, whereas comments are replies shown in the context of the original post, on the original post’s permalink.
Is it correct to say reply back?
“Reply back” is redundant because “reply” already conveys the idea of getting back to someone. The same is true of “answer back” except in the rather old-fashioned use of the phrase to describe the behavior of a lippy kid rudely refusing to submit to the wishes of parents or teachers.
What is difference between answer and reply?
Answer is a thing written or said in reaction to a question or situation. Reply is a response to a written or verbal statement.
Is there a polite way to say none of your business?
If you’re asked a question you do not want to answer, and you feel like saying “none of your business”, maybe these might be a better way to be polite and convey the same idea. “I’d rather not…” means “I don’t want to…”
What do people do when they only say hello?
When only greeting, people are often moving. Depending on the situation, people may be stopped, but have closed or tense body language. For example, they may be texting, talking with someone else, or busy with some other task. The situation is one where people are either on their way somewhere or are busy with something.
Is there an exclamation point after the word Hello?
To me, “Hello.” is more neutral, and “Hello!” is more friendly. In a letter, as Sarah mentions, a comma is common, but an exclamation point is fairly common as well. A period is uncommon as an opening salutation in a letter.
Which is slower, a greeting or a real question?
The speed of a real question is slower than the speed of a greeting. When someone asks a real question, their body language is open and focused on you. The situation is one where both people have some time to have a conversation. When someone asks How are you? as a real question, you can give a real answer.
When do you use the word hello in a sentence?
The term “hello” can be used in several contexts. I’ve found the primary context used to indicate a greeting or responding to one; requesting ones attention. When sung in a song (ex. “Hello” -Adele), it is used to entertain.
