All applicants must meet the certain conditions of employment to be eligible for employment at DEA:

  2. Successfully passing a DEA-administered drug test for illegal drugs.
  3. Completion of a DEA Drug Questionnaire and Drug Use Statement to show compliance with the Drug Use Policy *

How long is the hiring process for DEA?

How long is the ATF academy?

approximately 15 weeks
The SABT consists of approximately 15 weeks of training with a class of 24 student trainees. The SABT is designed to meet all the foundational requirements of a newly hired ATF special agent trainee.
