In my experience, these are the seven steps to crafting a strategic plan:

  1. Step 1: Define your team.
  2. Step 2: Be transparent.
  3. Step 3: Take stock.
  4. Step 4: Hash it out.
  5. Step 5: Call someone’s BS if necessary.
  6. Step 6: Get feedback.
  7. Step 7: Finalize and communicate.
