Using ReFILE ReFILE is available for 2017 and later tax years. Make the necessary changes to your return in Wealthsimple Tax. Check & Optimize your return and clear any errors. In the Submit section click the ReFILE button to review your changes and submit your amended return.
How do I file taxes if I already filed?
If you want to make changes after the original tax return has been filed, you must file an amended tax return using a special form called the 1040X, entering the corrected information and explaining why you are changing what was reported on your original return. You don’t have to redo your entire return, either.
Can you use NETFILE if it is your first tax return?
Yes! The CRA allows first-time filers to submit their returns online using NETFILE.
Can I adjust my tax return after filing?
If you need to make a change or adjustment on a return already filed, you can file an amended return. Use Form 1040-X, Amended U.S. Individual Income Tax Return, and follow the instructions.
How do I ReFILE on TurboTax?
If you used TurboTax Online, simply log in to your account and select “Amend a return that was filed and accepted.” If you used our CD/download product, sign back into your return and select “Amend a filed return.” You must file a separate Form 1040X for each tax return you are amending.

Unfortunately not. SimpleTax is NETFILE certified, meaning it’s designed for those preparing their own taxes. As a result, our product has a NETFILE-mandated limit of 20 returns per account. If you prepare returns on behalf of others, you’ll need to use an EFILE certified product. Can I use SimpleTax to prepare a corporate T2 return? Not yet.
Can you use simpletax to file a previous tax return?

With NETFILE, you don’t need to send your tax information slips, receipts, or other documents used to prepare your tax return unless the CRA asks to see them. On February 26th, 2018, the CRA introduced the ReFILE service to give taxpayers the option of having an amended income tax and benefit return filed electronically.
